# Render Analytics

## Render Analytics

#### Introduction

Every time a custom shortcode is rendered on your site, Snippet Shortcodes counts it. The running total is shown in a "Usage" section on the shortcode's edit screen, e.g. "Rendered 128 times."

This is a simple lifetime counter (not broken down by date or page) - handy for spotting which of your shortcodes are actually being used before you clean up an old collection.
