# Limit to Device Types

### Introduction

By default, your shortcodes are only rendered on all devices.

In some instances, you may wish for a shortcode's content only to be rendered for certain device types i.e. Desktop, Mobile, Tablet or a combination of the three.

### How to specify which devices

When creating or editing a shortcode, you will notice an option labelled "Show on". It's really as simple as checking one or more of these check boxes and saving the shortcode.
